Gigs in the autumn!
We had a special and wonderful time at all of our concerts in Zoetemeer, Cologne and Loreley. We were very pleased to see the (extremely) positive reaction with our new track 'tick tock'. You'll see some pictures below to get the general feel of the concerts. We're well into recording our 5th studio album now and hope to have things ready by the end of this year (and ready to sell start of 2009). In the meantime, we'll be hitting the road again in October where we'll be visiting Belgium and Holland. Hope to see you there!
There may be a few other places we're visiting in and around this area, so watch this space!

Thanks to nick askew and claude wacker for taking these pictures.

Good to see both familiar faces and new faces at the gig. What beautiful Night(s)!
Back from Holland after two very successful (and fun!) evenings. It was wonderful to meet up with everyone again, and be able to showcase 'Night' live. Your response has been utterly overwhelming, we managed to sell out the pre-stock of 500 'Night' CD's during the weekend! Pictures will be coming in as we go along in the next few weeks, but here are some links we managed to gather throughout the days we've been back. Zoetemeer and the Marillion weekend courtesy of Nick Askew. Also, Bert Treep's site where we went through an in depth interview (TBA), and Willemklopper's site to mention some wonderful photographers.
Reviews of 'Night' are starting to pop in already, DPRP's roundtable review providing fantastic indepth english reviews by 3 individuals at DPRP, the trusted Progwereld (Dutch), as well as Baby Blueseiten (German) and Hardsounds (Italian). We hope this gives you something to enjoy while you're waiting for the upcoming launch of 'Night'! (which should be during the WEEK starting monday!)

The following tracks Substitute for Murder, Bravo, The Secret, Vulture, Sea of Tranquility and Orion I & II* (*only for soupkitchen members) were recorded in Elysee Montmatre, Paris November 2005. Pictures!
Visit this link. Taken in June, partly to prove that we are actually alive and well, and to keep you involved in what we're doing! This trip proved creative, as we managed to get 10-12 minutes extra music laid down for our song which you may have started hearing rumours about... Writing in a cabin is a first for us, as we've always been in the studio (dungeon) to write, but wanted new inspiration (& partly due to the heat wave) to compose at Thomas' cabin outside Oslo. The wonders of technology, gives the chance of being mobile. You may notice in these pictures that it's not all doom and gloom..:-) Happy viewing!

We're alive! and working hard...
Album's coming along just nicely, and we're working very hard in the studio. Partly written together at Thomas' cabin this summer and partly written in the studio, we've been very mobile and creative in the process (pictures will come soon!). During that time, and for those of you who are a little impatient, we had an interview with Josh Turner in June which you should find here Happy reading!

Firebird gets awards!.
Perhaps not the grammies, but nevertheless, the people have spoken: DPRP's annual poll shows Firebird at 21st place for "Album of 2005", Progwereld have now had Firebird in the top 10 for over 6 months (!), 9th place in "Metal Italia", and the Rogues Gallery gave it the second best album for 2005! It also remained in the top 10 throughout the whole autumn of 2005 at Just For Kicks as well as honourable mentions in various sites and magazines. So, I guess we're doing something right... 2006 is showing promise...
We're back in the dungeons again as we set off towards writing the 4th studio album. If you want to read on it's progress, read the details on our blogspace. Hope to keep you updated as we go along and thanks for your votes...:-)

DVD+R "Bootleg" copies European tour 2004
We're hoping to cross the pond later this year to gig at some venues. This costs us quite a bit of money, so to help support it, for a limited period of time (until 31 October) we're offering copies of the bands' personal video camera recordings from the European tour in 2004. Don't expect "Hollywood quality" at only €8 a piece (including postage and packaging), but could prove to be nice to have for collectors..:-)

BUY Firebird here!
It's finally here! Exciting times for the band as we are now launching this through Intact Records! We hope you listen to it loud on your system from start to finish (over a glass or bottle of wine or anything else that takes your fancy) and then over and over again..:-)
Some highlights: The tension filled opener 'Vulture', the over 8 minute epic 'Orion', and also appearing on Firebird's "Do you Know What You Are Saying", Marillion's guitar legend Steve Rothery contributes with stunning melodic guitars, enigmatic 'Jezebel', challenging 'Firebird', orchestral 'Once in a lifetime'... every song on this album has that little special story to tell...

Gazpacho signs with Intact Records (UK)!
Gazpacho now signs with the British record label "Intact Records". As a result, we will now have established online distribution channels reaching out to you! The first release on Intact Records will be Gazpacho's third album titled Firebird, our most accomplished work to date. The very first place to sell the album is through http://www.racketrecords.com, an independent online shop for new music. Their website is currently under construction, and will be very relaunched soon so expect information there in the not so distant future. Gazpacho will be labelmates with with the likes of Richard Barbieri (Porcupine Tree), John Wesley, and Marillion. We look forward to working with Intact. As previously mentioned, Intact have also licensed the Gazpacho back catalogue, which means that "Bravo" and "When Earth Lets Go" will be manufactured & printed at Intact Records and distributed via Racket Records. We have still have some stock left of the first versions through CDbaby (USA), Just for Kicks (GER), Soundoo (EU) and directly from us, so anyone wanting to get their hands on the "first issue", now is the time.

Firebird - The Album
Here's the confirmed tracklist:We are fine tuning the final sections for the album, and are confident in saying that this is going to be the best album from Gazpacho ever! Artwork is created by the extremely talented Antonio Seijas Cruz and has been sent to our new label. Mastering is scheduled within the next 2 weeks. Firebird is a different kind of journey than its predecessors. Don't necessarily expect a 'party' album, but instead a "rollercoaster" ride within the theme of Firebird. We had a great time making it, and hope it will give you many!
So, when is the album released? All pending, we hope to have it printed up in the beginning of July, but we'll get back to this later. We've also selected a few fans' contributions to go on the album! The infamous 'info minister', rallied a competition on the Gazpacho forum to join the "Fellowship of the soup" with small sound/effect samples. Some of you (Sorry, we couldn't put all of you on!) have been selected based on well thought out contributions... so congratulations! The "winners" are included in the album credits, and will receive no other remuneration whatsoever, Mwahahaha!
